The parish Lawn Festival at SS.C.D. has been an annual event for over fifty years. Traditionally held on the first weekend in August, the Lawn Festival brings together parishioners, former parishioners, other members of the community, and many out-of-town guests for a weekend of fun, games, and old fashioned camaraderie. The biggest part of the Festival is set up under brightly colored tents on the parish lawn. Many craft booths, game booths, and a variety of delicious foods and baked goods can be enjoyed throughout the weekend. The main objective of the parish Lawn Festival is to raise much needed funds to meet the budgetary obligations of the Grade School. The success of the Lawn Festival hinges on the tremendous support received from the parents of our school children, alumni of the school, and other members of our parish. The chairperson for the Festival is Frank Hetrick. From year to year, many individuals are needed to make the Lawn Festival a success.
